How to order

In most cases when measuring the roof it is only necessary to measure the flat of the roof (i.e. Length x Width). 

EPDM

Take your measurement for the length and add 150mm this is to allow sufficient material to fix over edges and under most flashings etc. You should then round up to the nearest 0.5 of a metre. This is the size that you enter into the form.

Do the same for the width multiply them together to give you your area then simply multiply by the cost.

If any edge terminates under an adjacent pitched roof add 300mm.

Underlay

Take your measurement for the length and subtract 150mm do the same for the width.  Round each to the nearest 0.5 of a metre.

Trims

Supplied in 3 metre lengths these are only needed on the edges with upstands

Substrate Adhesive

Used for bonding rubber to any clean dry surface other than rubber. Supplied in a 5 Litre tin. This is enough to cover 10m² this is easily enough to do most roofs unless fully bonding

Water based Adhesive

Used for bonding large areas when installing a fully bonded roof to prevent wind uplift and usually applied to new boards but not used on edges or where a stronger bond is required. Supplied in 5L tins which is enough to cover 20m²

Seam Primer

Applied with a linen cloth to remove chalk from the rubber and to prime the surface prior to seam adhesive application. This product is only required when jointing or using mechanical method.

Seam Adhesive

Used for bonding rubber to rubber only, in conjunction with the seam primer to give a permanent waterproof joint. This product is only required when jointing or using mechanical method.

Raw Rubber

Uncured EPDM sold per linear metre used for awkward corners etc.

Weatherwise

Bitumen based and supplied in 5 Litre tins, usually used to form stone bars to prevent the movement of ballast off the edge of the roof.

Anchor Strip & Plates

Supplied in 30.5m lengths (100ft) with sufficient plates this is only used when using the mechanical method.

All other products are self explanatory and ordered as needed
